Hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. Apologies for lack of updates/no christmas email/message. Managed to get myself a virus from the Merry Christmas virus floating round and had no net access before Christmas, still all sorted now, and to start the year off with a bang here's the first four promo images of ultra cool looking Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux!

Coming Soon have a first look of actress Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux. The film, based on the futuristic MTV animated series created by Peter Chung, is set 400 years in the future, when disease has wiped out the majority of the earth's population except for one walled, protected city- state, Bregna, ruled by a congress of scientists. Aeon Flux is the top operative in the underground "Monican" rebellion, led by the Handler, played by Frances McDormand. When Aeon is sent on a mission to kill the government's leader (Marton Csokas), she uncovers a world of secrets, which makes her question everything she thought she knew.

Filming resumes on the halted Aeon Flux on Monday. Charlize Theron was injured on set at the end of August. -Variety

After delays due to an injury Charlize Theron suffered on set, filming looks to start again next month. Meanwhile, the Oscar winning beauty is in Los Angeles recuperating.

Charlize Theron has been injured on the set of Aeon Flux while doing her own stunts. While not much is known about the extent of her injuries she wasn't taken to hospital.

Actors Marton Csokas, Jonny Lee Miller, Sophie Okonedo, Amelia Warner, Caroline Chikezie and Frances McDormand round off the cast of Charlize Theron's comic adaptation Aeon Flux. Gale Anne Hurd, David Gale, Gary Lucchesi and Greg Goodman produce the project set 400 years in the future, when disease has wiped out the majority of the earth's population except for one walled, protected city- state, Bregna, ruled by a congress of scientists. Wednesday 18th August 2004: Aeon Flux Update:
The adaptation of comic book Aeon Flux starring Charlize Theron has started shooting at Studio Babelsberg in Germany. Karyn Kusama directs the cast which includes Frances McDormand, Johnny Lee Miller, Marton Csokas, Sophie Okonedo and Amelia Warner.

Tuesday 8th June 2004: Aeon Flux Update:
Fargo's Frances McDormand has signed on to star as the Handler opposite Charlize Theron in MTV cartoon adaptation Aeon Flux. Produced by MTV Films and Valhalla Productions the project is set for a 2005 release with Karyn Kusama in the director's chair. The script from Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi is set 1,000 years in the future, when disease has wiped out the population save for one city. The acrobatic title character is the top operative in an underground rebellion, but when sent on a mission to kill the government's leader, she uncovers a secret making her question if she's on the right side. Paramount Pictures will distribute.

Word has been received that Charlize Theron will be paid a cool $6 million for her next movie Aeon Flux.

Friday 27th February 2004: Aeon Flux Update:
Charlize Theron has been signed up to star in the big screen adaptation of MTV property Aeon Flux. The movie is being developed by Lakeshore Entertainment and Paramount Pictures. Producing are MTV Films and Valhalla Producitons. The movie is being directed by Karyn Kusama with a script by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi. Aeon Flux is set 400 years in the future in a world where humans have nearly been wiped out by a virus, with the remains of mankind living in a city encased in a protective bubble. The title character, an acrobatic superheroine, is assigned to kill the government leader. Filming will take place in Berlin this July.

Paramount and MTV Film have reportedly pulled the plug on the live-action
feature version of Aeon Flux, to which director Karyn Kusama was attached.

Monday 9th June 2003: Aeon Flux Update:
Just received word that the MTV produced Aeon Flux movie will be mainly filmed in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. They are using Brasilia due to its futuristic design by architects Lucio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer in the 1960's. Thanks to Luke for the info!

Tuesday 18th March 2003: Aeon Flux Update:
Writer/Director Karyn Kusama is being lined up by MTV Films to direct Aeon Flux. The movie is being produced by MTV Films and Gale Anne Hurd's Valhalla production company.
