at a L.A. Lakers basketball game. The film is thought
to be $8 million over budget and a week over schedule.

as the security chief in charge of guarding the Napoleon
Diamond, a jewel that Pierce Brosnan's character is

The US release date for After The Sunset has changed
to 12th November 2004.

Don
Cheadle has been cast opposite Pierce Brosnan and Woody
Harrelson in caper drama After the Sunset, a project
which reunites him with director Brett Ratner. Production
is scheduled to begin later this month. Cheadle will
play a crime kingpin in the Caribbean who tries to lure
Brosnan out of retirement.

Naomie
Harris (28 Days Later) will star in New Line Cinema's
After the
Sunset for director Brett Ratner. Shooting on the film
starts this month.
She joins Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek and Woody Harrelson
on the project.

Brett Ratner will now direct After the Sunset, taking
over from helmer John
Stockwell, who dropped out last month due to creative
differences. The film,
which stars Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek, starts shooting
in the Virgin
Islands this October.

Woody Harrelson looks to have been signed up to play
the bad guy in After
The Sunset. It still looks like New Line are actively
developing this
project after Director John Stockwell recently left
the director's seat.

Director John Stockwell has left the production of After
The Sunset, citing
creative differences as the reason for his departure.

3rd July 2003: After The Sunset Update:
New
Line Cinema are in talks with Salma Hayek to star alongside
Pierce Brosnan in After The Sunset. The movie will be
directed by John Stockwell,
with the script by Paul Zbyszewski and a rewrite by
Chris Rosenberg. The movie will follow a master thief
(Brosnan) sailing off to the tropics after his last
big haul. Soon, though, island life is boring him witless,
and when his careerlong pursuer, an FBI agent, shows
up to make sure the
thief is really retired, an unlikely friendship and
more thievery begins.
