American Pie 3 Updated :

Seann William Scott reckons the third American Pie movie is the "grossest"
yet.
The actor, who plays Stifler, says the film features lots of sex, a
wheelchair-bound granny and a randy dog. "Stifler screws things up quite a
bit in this movie, and one of the things that happens is, he's supposed to
hold on to the wedding ring, and it gets eaten by a dog, and comes out in a
really horrible form,” he explained. "And once again, Stifler gets himself
into a pretty smelly predicament." The film opens in U.S. cinemas later this
week, ahead of its UK release on August 15.

Looks like the final title of American Wedding is being settled on. It will be American Wedding in the States and American Pie: American Wedding internationally. Apparently international audiences will need to know that to link it into American Pie. Personally I would have thought it would need to be the other way around.

American Pie 3 has been given a UK release date and will hit cinemas this August. Talking about the film during a radio interview, Seann William Scott (Stifler) said he originally swore he wouldn’t get involved in the third installment, but changed his mind when he read the script. “"I didn't even want to read it because I was just like 'No, we got lucky on the first two, I don't even want to be thinking about it right now.'b And then I thought 'I don't want to have any regrets, let me just read it.' And I was just blown away because I thought it was the funniest script that I have ever read. Some of the actors aren't in it, but it still works. It's really about Jason Biggs asking Alyson Hannigan's character to marry him. And then you've got my character, who is just a complete nightmare. It really is a complete funny movie." Eugene Levy, who plays Jason Biggs’ dad in the American Pie movies, has said
he’d be willing to shoot a fourth film. "It's the best of the three Pie
movies," he says of the third installment, due out this summer," and if they
come up with a fourth script as good, I'll sign up in a minute.”

Just received the following information on the filming of American Pie 3 that took place on March 25th "They are setting up at the famous "traffic circle" (aka roundabout) in the City of Orange, California, home to many, many past shoots. The Radio Shack store on the SE corner of the "Circle" has been transformed into a FLORIST SHOP! Go Hollywood. NEXT, Turn Iraq into Palm Springs.....They should be on location for about 3-4 days. Filming news on American Pie 3 today "I work at the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay and on my day off I went golfing. After I went golfing my wife and I saw the film crew setting up the Honeymoon Suite. The best room at the Ritz-Carlton overlooking. dog yesterday and happened to stumble upon a film crew. I asked security
what they were doing -- and they said filming American Pie 3.When I looked down onto the beach where they were filming I noticed Jason Biggs and Alyson Hannigan. After the sunset shoot --- they came up from the

Seann William Scott was just siting on a couch hanging out when we got there dressed in one of those navy blue balzers with gold buttons. They seemed to be filming in some of the ballrooms. Just received the following report from the filming of American Pie 3 down in Half Moon Bay, CA "they were filming one of the scenes at the Ritz Carlton here and Idrove by the beach there and i saw one of the guys jumping into the water naked and a helicopter fly by and one of the girls standing there watching.... Film equipment was everywhere so Iguess thats a scene from the movie! oh and my friends and I (later that night) went into the ritz carlton because we had to "go to the bathroom" but we were really just looking for the cast...and we opened a door to one of the halls and i guess they were filming in there because the cameras were on..... Thursday 6th February 2003: American Wedding Update:
Dark Horizons scored the following set report from American Wedding "It was a three day shoot at a lovely greenhouse location, it was the wedding of Jim and Michelle. The wedding goes off without a hitch, they exchange vows, and kiss. Then we filmed the reception party and there was a lot of dancing, Jim and Michelle go out onto the dance floor for their first dance, it's a lovely dance sceene, then Jim motions for everyone to come out on the dance floor and join them, we all do, and there are many cuts to each of the charaters discussing the newlyweds. Paul Finch also gets up and leaves the wedding at this time because he has to go and break up another wedding in order to get the woman he loves (MILF ALEART!). Also, Stifler's mom was on the set in her wedding dress and we almost went blind staring at her, she is literally busting out of her dress at the chest area. WOW!".

Alyson Hannigan has been talking about the upcoming American Pie sequel "We're having so much fun. I've been [working] more on the movie now than the show, ['Buffy']." She was also asked if the character was having a hen night "You know, she's not. No. But you'll see why." Some key details of the plot have also been revealed in that they are getting married in a hurry as Jim's grandmother is ill and is desperate to see him get married before she dies. The sequel will be released on August 1st in America

The producer of American Wedding Piece of Pie 3 (see earlier article) has been talking about the third part of the franchise "It's really early on but it's been so much fun to see all the actors get back together and sort of interact. It's like a reunion every time we do it. They're just so great. And they're so aware of the characters. So, as soon as the camera starts rolling it's right back where the charm needs to be. It's been fun to watch." He then talks about the non return of some of the cast "All I can say is it was literally a creative decision. Because we are now sort of flash forwarding a little bit from the time from the last movie, and how many of us are really tight, great friends with the girlfriend you had senior year in high school or boyfriend or vice-versa? There's a natural evolution that everybody goes through and to make it so that sort of coterie of people are the same people, again, makes it dramatically dead and it's not believable. No one would believe that. And I think that in many ways part II struggled and sweated mightily as it was going to try and justify a lot of the sort of machinations of the relationships. So we just decided to sort of be cognizant of that and allow the thing to evolve as what we felt would be the right thing to do." Make your own mind up if you believe him or not...

January Jones has joined the cast of American Pie 3 (aka American Wedding). Jones will play Alison Hannigan's little sister. E! Online has the info, "In Wedding, Michelle (Hannigan) and Jim (Jason Biggs) decide to get married, and Jones, naturally, is one of her bridesmaids. She catches the eye of Stifler (Seann William Scott), who has his own matrimony issues. His mother, who has been continuing her affair with Finch, has decided to renew her vows with her husband, played this time around by Tim Allen (who I guess replaces Chris Penn--he got cut from AP2). But Stifler doesn't exactly come clean, as it were. He hasn't told Jones who he is, which, I'm afraid, could lead to more inappropriate intergenerational sex".

The casting directors of American (Pie 3 ) Wedding are looking for 18 to 22-year-old girls who are "gorgeous" to play the kid sister to Alyson Hannigan. They are holding an open casting call on Saturday the 23rd of November from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Just show up at Universal Studios at 3900 Lankershim Blvd in Universal City and enter at Gate 3 on Muddy Waters Drive. Take along a photo if you are going and you never know….

Casting is proceeding on the American Pie sequel American Wedding. They are now looking for two female entertainers for the stag night. Ah hell, less of the bullshit, two hookers. The two actresses will need comic timing as one will be dressed as a cop and the other a german fraulein. They are also required to do partial front nudity. Sounds like nothing ahs changed over American Pie way.

Filming is thought to be planned for January 11th next year on the second sequel to American Pie, this time entitled American Wedding. Directing this time is Jessie Dylan. Significant members of the cast are not returning with Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Natasha Lyonne and Mena Suvari all having passed. Returning however is Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Eugene Levy, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Seann William Scott and Eddie Kaye Thomas. They are alos tryingt o find someone to play the role of Michelle's sister who is trying to lose her virginity.

Monday 2nd September 2002 : American Pie 3 Update:
With only a handful of the original cast returning it looks like Universal are going for a more mature approach with the third instalment of the teen series and have titled it American Wedding. The favourites will all return (Biggs, Scott, Hannigan and Levy) and recent reports suggest Hugh Grant making an appearance having just worked with original Pie producers, the Weitz brothers, on About A Boy. Jesse Dylan is expected to direct with writer Adam Herz staying on from the previous movies. Rumours suggest the Wedding of the title may in fact be Jim and Michelle's.

13th August 2002: American Pie 3 Update.
American Pie 3: Yes, there will be a third film and Jason Biggs, Eugene Levy, Seann William Scott and Alyson Hannigan will return. Jesse Dylan (How High) will direct this time 'round. Adam Herz wrote the screenplay.
