8th December 2003: Are We There Yet? Update:
Filming has begun in Vancouver on Revolution Studios' "Are
We There Yet?," a comedy directed by Brian "The Flintstones"
Levant, starring Ice Cube and Nia Long. The film is produced
by Ice Cube/Matt Alvarez of CubeVision and Dan "Daddy Day
Care" Kolsrud.
Premise of the film is about smooth operator 'Nick' (Cube) trying
to date 'Suzanne' (Long), a divorcee. Problem is Suzanne is
stuck working in Vancouver and miserable because she misses
her kids. Seizing the opportunity, Nick offers to drive eight-year-old
'Kevin' (Philip Bolden) and eleven- year-old 'Lindsey' (Aleisha
Allen) up from Portland, Oregon to be reunited with their mom.
What Nick doesn't know is that Suzanne's children, whom he's
never met, hate every man their mom dates on sight.
Ice Cube will next be seen in "Torque" and "Barbershop
2," which he also produced. He will also star in the sequel
to Revolution Studios' "XXX" and in the drama "Willie,"
both beginning production in 2004.
Nia Long, will next be seen in the remake of "Alfie."
"Are We There Yet?" co-stars Philip "The Animal"
Bolden as 'Kevin' and Aleisha "School Of Rock" Allen
as 'Lindsay'.
