Tuesday 16th December 2003: Around the Bend Update:
Glenne Headly has joined the all-male cast of Around the Bend, which is being directed by first-time helmer Jordan Roberts. The project, which was also written by Roberts, stars Michael Caine, Christopher Walken, Josh Lucas and Jonah Bobo as four generations of men who are brought together by the chance to uncover the truth about an old family secret. Headly plays a nurse who is caring for Caine. The movie is shooting in New Mexico.
Thursday 11th December 2003: Around the Bend Update:
Michael Caine has been signed up to play Christopher Walken's character's father in Around The Bend that is currently filming in Albuquerque.

Brandon has been in touch with the following info on the filming of Around the Bend "they were shooting parts of the film very close to my house. They were shooting some scenes in an old motel room and some scenes inside an orange VW van that looked to have the word Dig spray painted on it. They were also filming some scenes at another motel 1 1/2 miles down the road from the other motel. The scenes's looked pretty simple. There's a motel room scene, a vw van scene and they have two identical vw van's. There also was a large dog kept in a area but not sure if the dog was the motel owners pet or part of the movie. The security for the film is at a minumum at best. Both motels are located on SW area of Albuqurque on Central Ave. The building next to the first motel is a Adult Video Rental Store. (kinda funny)"

Albuquerque area. The producer's of the feature "Around
the Bend" are accepting resumes in all job positions. Send

Around the Bend Synopsis:
tale of four generations of men, all of whom have had their
offspring at a young age: a great-grandfather, a grandfather
(Christopher Walken), a father in his twenties and a son who
is about 7 years old. When the oldest member passes away, the
trio heads out on the road together in the Southwest to search
out an old family secret that connects to their past.
Cast: Christopher Walken, Michael Caine and Josh Lucas.
Also Mark Gill teh head of Warner Independent Pictures has been
talking about the project "There's one more, which is the
first project I've brought in here that's greenlit. It's called
'Around the Bend' (and stars) Michael Caine, Christopher Walken
and Josh Lucas. It's a story of four generations of men, all
in the same family, who haven't seen each other for years and
who come together and head out on the road to uncover a family
secret. It's extremely powerful. It's written by Jordan Roberts,
who will also make his directorial debut on it. Jordan's become
one of the hot writers in town, partly for a lot of the work
he did on 'Road to Perdition,' but for many other movies, too.
Obviously, the script was good enough to get that cast, so it's
very encouraging. That starts (shooting) Oct. 13 in New Mexico.

Writer/Director Jordan Roberts is in talk with Christopher Walken

in Around the Bend. The movie is produced by Stratus Films and
will tell
the tale of four generations of men, all of whom have had their

father in
his twenties and a son who is about 7 years old. When the oldest

passes away, the trio heads out on the road together in the Southwest
to
search out an old family secret that connects to their past. Producing
are
Elliott Lewitt and Julie Kirkhan. Executive producing are Bob
Yari, Mark
Gordon and Mark Gill will executive produce. Universal Pictures
and Focus
Features will receive a first look at the project.
