Monday 24th November 2003: Bad Boys II Update:
Empire will release the upcoming "Bad Boys II" vid-game to coincide with Columbia's DVD film release March 2004. The "Bad Boys II" vid-game is a shooter with players able to portray either 'Mike Lowry' (Will Smith) or 'Marcus Burnett' (Martin Lawrence).

Wednesday 8th October 2003: Finding Nemo Update:
Finding Nemo has made a splash at the UK box office, taking more than
£150,000 from just two cinemas in its first three days. The film does not go
on general UK release until Friday, but has been at two cinemas in London
and Manchester. Between Friday and Monday, it took an average of £76,397 per
screen, nine times that of the top film, Bad Boys 2, which took £3.2m from
383 screens.

Monday 9th February 2003: Bad Boys 2 Update:
Gabrielle Union has been revealing some information on Bad Boys 2 "We finished. For the most part, we're finished. We've got a couple re-shoots, but it's good. It's typical Michael Bay, so it looks amazing. There's everything exploding. I kill about 15 people. It's awesome". Going into the project she had "Just finished Cradle 2 the Grave where everything is martial arts, so it wasn't a lot of guns and hanging out of cars and shooting people. It was more hand to hand. So going into that, spending a lot of time on the range, working with Miami PD and the Miami SWAT department, that was cool. We had to go through SWAT training and all of that. I won. Don't let them tell you I didn't win the Bronzeman competition".

Sony has signed a deal with Empire Interactive to make a game based on their film that will be released at the same time as the movie will be released on DVD which is being planned for a Christmas release.

Gabrielle Union has been letting slip some information about Bad Boys 2 "I might let it leak that Will and Martin remained partners all these years. We pick it up with Martin who is growing a little weary of Will's 'shoot first, ask questions later' routine. Martin is the one who is sort of re-examining his priorities and maybe wants a safer job. There's this Cuban drug lord who is bringing all this Ecstasy into town and Will and Martin must crack the ring. Hypothetically speaking, I might just be an undercover DEA agent who happens to infiltrate the ring and fall in love with Will."

A rumour is circulating that Sony are contemplating moving the release date of Bad Boys 2 so that it is released on the same day as Terminator 3. Now what is interesting is that Sony will be distributing Terminator 3 inetrnationally for Warners while in America Terminator 3 is being distributed by Warners. If it does happen it will certainly hurt one of them badly, guess it could come down to the reviews to decide which one you go and see.

The kick ass trailer hit the web a couple of weeks ago, now here come the first official images from Michael Bay's Bad Boys 2.

Narcotics detectives Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) have been assigned to a high-tech task force investigating the flow of designer ecstasy into Miami. Their inquiries inadvertently lead them to a major conspiracy involving a vicious kingpin (Jordi Molla), whose ambitions to take over the city's drug trade have ignited a bloody turf war. But Mike and Marcus' friendship and working relationship is threatened when Mike begins to develop feelings for Marcus' sister Syd (Gabrielle Union). Unless they can separate the personal from the professional, the bad boys are in danger of blowing the case and endangering Syd's life in the process.

I was playing a security guard as in extra for the last few weeks.
The basic plot involves the Lawrence and Smith characters chasing down drug smugglers. The dealers are smuggling in ecstasy hidden in dead bodies.
I played s security guard at the "Spanish Palms Funeral Home" where the
bodies were coming in. All in all it looks to be interesting and very funny. 'Thanks to Chris'.

A scooper has managed to get a hold of the first trailer of the upcoming Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Bad Biys 2 Trailer and this is what they ahd to say over at comingsoon.net " Yesterday I was called into a focus group at a mall. There I screened the teaser trailer for BAD BOYS 2. Here is what it was:A lady is waking down a hall. All of a sudden 3 men come up to her with guns and she does some kung foo and beats them. The screen flashes and she turns into the columbia logo. Then the logo explodes and on the screen it says THEY'RE BACK AND THEY'RE BAD! You see a shot of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith on the highway with a worried look on their face. On a firey backround the words BAD BOYS 2, COMING NEXT SUMMER appear then a voice says presented in Digital Matrix picture and sound!"

Coming Soon scored a spoiler filled look at the shooting of Bad Boys 2. "On Nov 12, 2002 the crew was filming a scene from the movie Bad Boys 2 in Coral Gables, Fl where I live. I was there for most of the day to watch. The scene involved a funeral procession that was stopped by Miami PD (cars & helicopter). Smith and Lawerence stop the hearst, pull out the coffin and pry it open looking for hidden money. However, they find none and realize the have stopped the wrong hearst. This was the only scene they shot all day".

"About 3 weeks ago, I was on vacation in Miami, and across from the Hyatt, where I was staying, Bad Boys 2 was filming a car chase scene. A partially destroyed van with bodies hanging out of the back of it was being followed by another car and a mustang followed the two cars, filming them. Tires squealed, cars crashed. Pretty sweet!" Gabrielle Union has been speaking to MTV about her upcoming role in Bad Boys 2 opposite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

"I'm like the black Annie Oakley," she said with a laugh, referencing the young 19th century gunslinger immortalized in film and television. "I shoot everything that moves. It's just going to be a lot of fun and a lot of action. You know, typical Michael Bay, Jerry Bruckheimer ... tons of explosions!" "I play Syd, who's Martin's sister and Will's love interest," Union explained. "She's an undercover D.E.A. agent working on busting an ecstasy ring. And she's actually been able to kind of work her way pretty far up in the criminal underworld hierarchy. And wacky hijinks ensue!

13th May 2002: Bad Boys 2 Update:
Film Jerk have revealed that a bunch of the characters from the original Bad Boys movie could be recast in the sequel. They are Detective Ruiz, originally played by Julio Oscar Mechoso, Detective Sanchez, originally played by Nestor Serrano, Theresa Burnett, originally played by Theresa Randle, Captain Howard, originally played by Joe Pantoliano and John Salley originally played by um, John Salley. There are also parts for Marcus Burnett's half sister named Syd and a Cuban/ American guy named Johnny Tapia up for grabs in a casting sheet that Film Jerk laid their hands on. There are a few other supporting parts available and you can check them out by clicking one of the links above.

Producing credits on the film will go to both Jerry Bruckheimer and his late partner Don Simpson (as well as Michael Bay.....probably).

8/3/02 Bad Boys 2 Update:
The Hollywood Reporter says that at the Showest convention in Las Vegas, Sony confirmed that Jerry Bruckheimer would reunite with Will Smith, martin Lawrence and director Michael Bay for Bad Boys 2. The film will probably be released in the summer of 2003. Columbia Pictures chairman Amy Pascal said: "It feels good. We're very, very excited."


29/1/02 Bad Boys 2 Update:
Jerry Bruckheimer has been talking to Cindy Pearlman of The Sun Times about his upcoming projects, particularly Bad Boys 2, where he had this to say,

"The other day I had one of the best meetings I've ever had with [Smith] and [Lawrence]. They're really excited about reuniting. They're ready to go."

Martin Lawrence said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that he would be interested in doing Bad Boys 2. No news about Will Smith though.


Update: 26/4/01 Bad Boys 2 Update:
Page created.This one could either go ahead at any time or fall at the first hurdle. There have been reports that the film is to be made for about two years or so now. Some sources have said that Martin Lawrence will not appear in the sequel, others say that he is in the movie but only in a cameo role and others say that he will be in the film, but will die! As for Will Smith, well we just don't know. He's off doing Ali at the moment and he'll follow that one up with Men In Black 2 straight afterwards. And for director Michael Bay, well, he said on the Bad Boys Special Edition DVD (US) that Sony have approached him to do the movie, but he would only do it if the original two leads were up for it too. But Tom Dey (Shanghai Noon) has also been attached to the project. The script is apparently in the 'rewrite' stage with I Spy scribes Cormac and Marianne Wibberly doing their magic on the screenplay at the moment.
