We have a review of Doug Liman's 'The Bourne Identity', the film based on the novel by Robert Ludlum. The review, by Joseph Tucker is fairly negative.

"I found The Bourne Identity to be a thriller that just drags and really doesn’t conjure up a solid plot. Dealing with the concept of an amnesia ridden character, I believe if the film is either smart, like Memento (2001), or has a concrete use of the amnesia, like Conspiracy Theory (1997), and then it works very well. However, half-way through The Bourne Identity, I really didn’t care about what Jason Bourne was trying to figure out or remember. Honestly, his whole secret is clichéd and pretty predictable".

The Bourne Identity is directed by Swingers and Go helmer Doug Liman and features the acting talents of Matt Damon in the lead role. The film also see's supporting talent from Franke Potenke as Martha (Run Lola Run), British actor Clive Owen, Brian Cox (Lector in Manhunter) and Chris Cooper from American Beauty. Owen will play an assasin, Cooper will play a CIA operative and Cox will play a CIA official.

The movie is set against some of Europe's most beautiful backdrops, mostly in Italy, Paris and Prague. Filming started back in October of last year.
