Bruce Almighty Updated :

Tuesday 11th November 2003: Bruce Almighty Update:
Bruce Almighty has been banned in Egypt for impinging on God's sacredness.
The comedy, in which Jim Carrey plays a TV reporter who gets to play deity
for a week, was deemed offensive by the state-run censorship body. The same
organisation recently banned The Matrix Reloaded for challenging Islamic
concepts of existence and creation.

Jennifer Aniston has admitted to having a panic attack while filming an
orgasm scene for comedy Bruce Almighty. Apparently she struggled to cope
when asked to mimic Meg Ryan's famous moment from When Harry Met Sally. "The sexual gratification scene was terrifying," she said. "I got sick. I was
hot, then I had the chills. It was all psychological though. Although I
didn't feel well, I somehow did the scene." Aniston plays the girlfriend of
Jim Carrey’s character, a TV reporter who is suddenly given all of God’s
powers.

Wednesday 11th December 2002: Bruce Almighty Update:
Jim Carrey has been talking about his next movie Bruce Almighty "I don't think anybody's ever done a movie where they're screaming at God. This is what I do all the time. I do it, and I know many people do just go, 'What? What! Is it me? You and me, now! Come on, let's go!' So I have had some screaming matches with God".

Tuesday 3rd December 2002: Bruce Almighty Update:
Jim Carrey has been talking about his in development movie Bruce Almighty "I don't think anybody's ever done a movie where they're screaming at God. This is what I do all the time -- no sacrilege intended! I do it, and I know many people do just go, 'What? What! Is it me? You and me, now! Come on, let's go!' So I have had some screaming matches with God -- yes! The thing that happens to human beings is they get so tunnel visioned, they have that one thing in their head they want to get ... they suddenly forget all the other gifts God has given them! Jen? "She's a lovely person ... amazing. I think we have a nice chemistry together. She seems like that girl you want to come home to." He was referring to Jennifer Anniston his co star in the movie.

Tuesday 10th September 2002: Bruce Almighty Update:
The Sun has printed a couple of pics from the set of the new Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston comedy Bruce Almighty. The film's plott, according to The Hollywood Reporter, goes a little something like his, "Carrey [stars] as Bruce Nolan, a New York television reporter who is discontented with nearly everything in life despite his popularity and the love of his girlfriend, Grace (Aniston). At the end of the worst day of his life, Bruce rages against God -- and God (Freeman) responds by handing over his job to Bruce". J.A.G star Catherine Bell has also joined the cast as one of Carrey's work collegues. Tom Shadyac directs for Universal Pictures.

Bruce Almighty Updated :
Bruce Almighty reteams Jim Carrey with his Liar Liar director Tom Shadyac, but best of all it features Morgan Freeman in the role he was surely born to play, God!

persistent complainer Bruce Nolan (Carrey) curses God (Freeman) for all that's wrong in the world, so God confronts him, and challenges him to try to do a better job, with the caveat that he must make the world better in a day! And if he doesn't manage God will throw man back to the Dark Ages.

Currently filming with shooting starting on August 6th in Los Angeles, New York, Buffalo NY and Niagra Falls.
