Friday 7th February 2003: Calendar Girls Update:
Just received another set report from Calendar Girls and it doesn't sound like the best run production "the next uproar was when a bog was brought to the set and it was a greyhound. Anne Crosby was devastated at the condition of the dog (called Jack). Annette runs a home for ill treated greyhounds and informed the RSPCA of the dog's condition. They attended the set but for some unknown reason didn't take any action. This was not acceptable for Annette who contacted her solicitor and within two days the kennels that Jack came from were closed down!" Thanks Anon!

Thursday 6th February 2003: Calendar Girls Update:
Just received a set report from the in post production Calendar Girls from Anon. "The first day we started at the Cow and Calf hotel in Ilkley which was
unit base for the first 2 days. We filmed on the cow and calf rocks untill
11.30pm where we had to employ the servces of local farmers and climbers to
carry large fans for the scene where paper is thrown over the cliffs. I learned that many of the cast and crew were very unhappy with Nigel Cole the director due to his snide comments and spitefull remarks." Sounds like not a very happy production Thanks to Anon!

Think The Full Monty but with housewifes and you are maybe getting a flavour of what this movie will be like. IT tells the tale of 11 Women's Institue (very respectable) members who strip off for a calendar to raise money for leukaemia research. Their aim was to raise £1,000, naturally things happen differently and they end up raising half a million pounds.

Filming started in June this year in the village of Burnstall near Bolton Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales, England (subbing for Rylstone). After a month of filming on location, the production will move to sets in London and Los Angeles.

Could be a massive sleeper hit.
