30th September 2003: Captain America Update:
Marvel Enterprises Inc. and one-time Marvel Comics creator
Joe Simon have announced that they have amicably settled their
legal dispute surrounding the Captain America Super Hero.
With the lawsuit now settled, Marvel will focus its attention
on aggressively building the Captain America property across
a variety of mediums, including a feature film. "Captain
America ranks as one of the most recognizable Super Heroes
in the world, who can stand quite firmly alongside Marvel's
biggest name, Spider-Man," stated Allen Lipson, Marvel
Enterprises CEO. "Now, with the legal issue behind us,
we can fully explore the deep value that this property brings
to the Marvel Universe."

9th July 2003: Captain America Update: As we thought it has now been confirmed
that a Captain America movie is NOT in development, as confirmed by Marvel
producer Avi Arad "I don't even know where they are getting this stuff
from? As you know we are doing nothing with Captain America right now till
we clear up the 'Rights Issues'. We want to do some amazing things with CAPTAIN
AMERICA, but till everything is clear we are concentrating on other projects." Monday
7th July 2003: Captain America Update: Reports reach us today that Brad

official word on this, and personally I don't see it happening. Monday

Pitt is under consideration to star as Captain America. Friday
20th June 2003: Captain American Update: The writer of The Hulk Mike France
has revealed that for his next project he would like to write a Captain America
script set during World War III. A
Captain America movie has been talekd about for years with rumours that Dolph
Lundgren was even trying to bag the role for himself by submitting a script (written
by himself) for the role. Thankfully it appears that that was rejected. However
a Captain America project is one the properties that Marvel and Artisan Entertainment
are probably going to develop as part of their joint venture. Now
there is zero word on script, writers , directors but Avi Arad, in charge of development
for Marvel has talked about who he would like to see as Captain America on the
silver screen and he is aiming high as he wants Tom Cruise! "We don't want
to go with an unknown.Captain America is too visible a character. It's definitely
going to be someone high profile. First, we have to do the script, and then we
will send it to him." More
