Elisha Cuthbert ("House of Wax") will
star in "Captivity," a Roland Joffe-directed
thriller being cited as "the first true
Russian-American co-production" by producer
Mark Damon. The film is set in Manhattan where
Cuthbert will play a fashion model who is kidnapped,
along with a chauffeur, and held in a small
room by a serial killer. They are terrorized,
but the victims bond and fall in love. The script
was written by Larry Cohen ("Phone Booth").
It will be shot at the Moscow-based Mosfilm
Studios in late May.
