Drew Barrymore has revealed that her bum caught fire during filming of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, when a rogue ember found its way into her underpants. "My butt caught on fire," she said during a recent interview. "An ember jumped on me when I was filming. It is so difficult to keep a straight face when your butt is burning. Barrymore also managed to crack her tailbone while performing her characters' acrobatic fighting feats. Anyone interested in seeing Drew's burning buttock trick can catch it during the outtakes that play over the film's end credits.

There are six chapters in the series, each 2-3 minutes long, and they add up to a prequel to the movie as the Angels try to rescue a missing US Marshall. A new adventure will premiere every Tuesday.Charlie’s Angels Animated Adventures is a prequel to the movie Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in the form of six, two-minute animated cliffhangers. The story centers on the search for a missing U.S. Marshall – an assignment that comes to its climax at the beginning of the feature film, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
The project was the brainchild of one of the film’s producers who felt that the film lent itself to an animated extension and that the Internet was the perfect media venue in which to launch it.Written by Stephanie Savage, Associate Producer on Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, the animated series captures the essence of the film and incorporates visual references from the movie into its storyline. In development since June, 2002, a team of talented artists, producers and designers has been assembled to bring the animated Angels to life. Jane Fonda has apparently turned down the chance to revitalise her Hollywood
career. The Barbarella actress was approached by Charlie's Angels star Drew
Barrymore to film a cameo role in the remake of the film that brought her
fame in 1968. Barbarella was originally based on a popular French comic
strip about a female space adventurer in the 41st century, and is now being
remade with Barrymore in the lead role. But the 65-year-old actress is said
to be reluctant to appear.

Bernie Mac has been talking about his upcoming character in Charlie's
Angels: Full Throttle. “We're brothers from another mother," he says about
how his character is related to Bosley, played by Bill Murray in the
original film. "You see, Bill and I are related, but our father just messed
around. His Bosley was also adopted as a kid....don't ask. The other thing I
can tell you is that our father eventually brought him home and introduced
us as brothers. Oh, one more thing. We came from a detective family." So how
does Mac enter the picture and explain Murray's absence in the sequel?
"Well, Bill hooked up with the girls years ago. He used to come home and
tell all these great stories about dissecting bombs. My dad and I frankly
never believed him. In Full Throttle, it's explained that he went on a
special mission and asks me to fill his spot at the Angels' headquarters."

Bernie Mac has been talking about the stuntwork in Full Throttle "I had some action. But I didn't go over the top with action, I can't lie to you. I didn't jump out of a plane and stuff like that. I deal with fast cars, I fought through the crowds, I dissect bombs, and all that kind of stuff. So, I can lie to you. I'm not going to get macho and say, 'Yeah! Yeah! I did that!'"

Crispin Glover has been talking about his role and if his character will speak "No. When they first asked me to come in for the role, I didn't want to, because the dialogue for the character struck me as being a lot of exposition and I didn't like it. But they said they really wanted to hear my ideas, so I thought it would be better if I was just a fighting antagonist to these women and didn't say anything. And McG, who's a very enthusiastic fellow, said, ''Yes, that's exactly what we want to do.''

John Cleese has been talking about his role in the upcoming Charlies Angels sequel and once again the script appears to be a shambles "I was asked to be in the film and they sent me the script and I said 'I don't see which part I'm playing' and they said 'Well we haven't rewritten it yet'. It was rewritten three days before I was due on the set. This is a £66 million movie and I get the scene an hour before I'm supposed to do it. The wardrobe people said they didn't know what they were filming the next day. Crazy".

Director McG has been talking about the upcoming Charlie's Angels sequel"In the first one we did a lot of wirework...but this time, in keeping with what we're going for in the whole picture, it's grittier, tougher and rougher. It feels like you're in the middle of Raging Bull in some of these sequences. There's one shot of Drew that I want to show everybody where she gets into it with her counterpart and it's crazy. There's lots of wirework [still] but it's not the exaggerated sort of floaty supernatural "touch one leaf and jump 50 feet to skipping across the water into a backflip to land on the gargoyle." It's much grittier with just wire enhancement to make it exciting, but you won't see the extended floating business, not so much"

The new logo for the Charlie's Angels 2, now subtitled Full Throttle instead of Halo, has been unveiled. Take a look at it in all of its glory below.
Also, the three angels, Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore took time out from filming on the action sequel to attend a baseball game. The girls turned up at game 2 in the world series featuring the Anaheim Angels. Some footage from the movie was also played at the game as part of its opening sequence. Latino Review reports that Cameron Diaz began filming in Los Angeles for the "Charlie's Angels" sequel this week. Co-Angels Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu will reunite with Diaz in the high-action dramedy. Shooting for "Charlie's Angels 2: Halo" will wrap up in October.

The IMDB reports that the production of Charlie's Angels 2: Halo may be held up in Los Angeles due to Hollywood's Entertainment Industry Development Corp failing to give producer's permission to close Hollywood Boulevard tomorrow (Thursday) night. The EIDC are trying to discuss a compromise in order to allow traffic and the rest of the public to still use the Boulevard.

The Sun newspaper over here in the UK reports that Pink, the songstress of such pop hits 'There You Go' and 'Get This Party Started', is to appear in Charlie's Angels 2: Halo. She will play herself in the movie as well as singing the film's theme song. Yes, that's Pink on the right.

Robert Patrick has been talking about his cameo role in the Charlie's Angel's sequel "I play a U.S. marshal whom the girls rescue in the big opening scene, I have Drew Barrymore holding me on one arm, Lucy Liu holding me on the other, and Cameron Diaz is beating up some guy in front of me. It involves some Mongolians, but I can't say any more." Bernie Mac has also revealed some info on his role in the movie concerning his relation to Bosley "We're brothers from a different mother,[My character's] a rookie coming in behind his brother who's not really sure of himself and has to prove himself in the task the team's about to take on."

Columbia Pictures has signed Rodrigo Santoro to play the role of the villain Emer in the upcoming sequel.

13th August 2002: Charlie's Angels 2: Halo Update:
Demi Moore will return to the big screen in Charlie's Angels 2. She will play a character named Madison Lee, a former Angel who has turned to the dark side, so to speak.

Joining her are Robert Patrick (Ray Carter), Justin Theroux (Seamus), Rodrigo Santoro (Emmers) and Shia Le Bouf (Max). Matt Le Blanc and Luke Wilson also return as Jason and Pete respectively.

Friday 2nd August 2002: Charlie's Angels 2 Set Pics Online
Charlie's Angels 2: Halo has started shooting in LA and 'The Sun' newspaper over here in the UK have posted three pics from the set. The images show Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu in a car wash, rubbing down a Porsche.



The movie is being shot around Los Angeles under the direction of McG, the man also responsable for the first movie.



The Sun also posted more information on what happened after.

After the soggy car wash scene, Lucy donned a blonde wig and tight sheriff’s outfit to chase a villain on horseback through the streets of Beverly Hills.

She finally felled her man with a well-aimed lasso shot.

2nd July 2002: Charlie's Angles 2: Halo Update:
Things keep moving towards shooting on the Charile's Angels sequel. And the latest is more casting with word that Tyler Hoechlin who plays Tom Hank's son in Road To Perdition is thought to be getting the role of Max. He spills the following details on his role "I'd be Max. He's a 15-year-old motocross champion and his dad is an FBI informant who gets killed by the mob. The Mafia is coming after me and Charlie's Angels protect my character...I like doing stunts. That's always been something cool that I like. I did gymnastics when I was little, so I hope eventually I get to do my own stunts"

7th June 2002: Charlie's Angels 2: Halo Update:
US comedian/ actor Bernie Mac has joined the cast of Charlie's Angels 2: Halo. Mac will star as the Bosely character. Bosely was played by Bill Murray in the first movie. It's not yet known what releationship Mac's and Murray's characters are to each other. All we do know is that Murray is definately not in the sequel.

3rd May 2002 Charlies Angels 2 updated:
Luke Wilson is set to reprise his role as Cameron Diaz's bloke in the the sequel to the hit Charlie's Angels. The film goes into production later this year with McG at the helm.

1/4/02 Charlies Angels 2 updated:
The voice of Charlie, John Forsythe will return for Charlie's Angels 2 reports Entertainment Weekly. On the Bill Murray front, well we still don't know if he'll return as Bosely. "We're not sure yet," says producer and star Drew Barrymore. "If he wants to be [in the film], I would love it." EW also reports that the original Angels Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, and Jaclyn Smith may appear in the sequel in cameo roles.

In other Angels news, producer Len Goldberg has said that the movie will go before the cameras on August 1st this year. The film will be mostly shot in and around Los Angeles, but may take in two weeks filming in Las Vegas.


4/2/02 Charlies Angels 2 updated:
It's said that Jamie Foxx (Bait) has signed on for Charlie's Angels 2. In an interview with The Las Vegas Journal, he says that he will be the next Bosley. Bill Murray passed on the sequel and Foxx will apparently play his son, the product of "a hot little night back in the 'hood," Foxx states.


7/1/02 Charlies Angels 2 updated:
McG is confirmed as the director of Charlies Angels 2 and both Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz will reprise their roles. Lucy Liu, as far as we know, is still in talks. Diaz will pocket $20 million for her efforts.

I write this page as rumours begin to fly around as to who will take on the roles of the 'Angels' in the sequel to the year 2000's hit movie. All of the original cast were on a one movie contract and at this point, no one has signed on the dotted line to return for Charlie's Angels 2. In the TV series, the Angels were replaced frequently series to series.

The casting rumour kicks in to gear as Garcelle Beauvais was overheard speaking to a reporter at the premiere of Scary Movie 2, of which is about to open Stateside. (Sourced from Coming Attractions).

The original movie's director McG is in talks to helm again. Screenwriter John August will take on the script.

More news on Charlie's Angels 2 as we get it.
