Just received another update on Cheaper By The Dozen from Susan "Our yard is littered with toys and the house is filled with stuff and smells of paint. The crew is mostly from LA and very nice but I don’t think they were ready for the spring storms that have been coming in this past week… Rumor is that the budget for the film is $75 million. Oh and Steve and Bonnie and other big stars are staying out by the coast. They start filming next week." Thanks to Susan!
Tuesday 15th April 2003: Cheaper By The Dozen Update:
Just received the following update for a location that will be used for Cheaper By The Dozen "They actually start filming the 21st. I will keep you informed. The whole cast, I believe, will be there for the filming. This past weekend we spent clearing the downstairs of our valuables, food, etc. and making room upstairs for anything they want to store up there. They plan on using our kitchen, living room and maybe a small room that is currently an office. " Thanks to Susan!

Tom Welling, star of TV’s Smallville, and Agent Cody Banks topliner Hilary
Duff are joining Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt's family in the Shawn
Levy-directed Cheaper by the Dozen for 20th Century Fox. Welling is in talks
to play the family's oldest son, while Duff has closed a deal to play one of
the daughters in a role written specifically for her. Shooting begins at the
end of March.

Director Shawn Levy has added Bonnie Hunt to the cast of Cheaper By The Dozen.

Director Shawn Levy looks to have signed up Steve Martin to headline Cheaper By The Dozen. The movie is a remake of the 1950 version that was based on the book by Frank B. Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey that told the story of an efficiency expert father with a dozen rambunctious kids who tries to run his family with the same systems he employs at corporations. His wife, known for being his partner in all things save discipline, both creates problems and solves them. The script for Cheaper By The Dozen has been written by Sam Harper adn filming will start on March 25th.
Saturday 16th November 2002: Cheaper By The Dozen Update:
Director Shawn Levy is thought to be in talks with 20th Century Fox to direct a project called Cheaper By The Dozen. The movie will be a remake of the 1950 original that was directed by Walter Lang and was based on the children's book by Frank B. Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey. The script for Cheaper By The Dozen has been written by Sam Harper and filming will start on the movie in February.
