18th October 2004 Closer Update:
Looks like there's going to be ONE star of the upcoming
Closer and that's a certain Natalie Portman. Sure the
movie co-stars Jude law, Julia Roberts and Clive Owen,
but from these promo pics it sure looks like she's stealing
every scene she's in. Closer gets released in the US
on 3rd December and the UK on 14th January 2005.

No word on a UK release date yet but the US date has

The US release date for Closer has been set as 3rd December
2004.

The Z Review's resident super scooper Mr White has
struck again. Today Julia Roberts and Clive Owen were
filming some scenes for Mike Nichols new movie Closer
on the Banks of the Thames in London.

Julia
Roberts is in talks to join the cast of Mike Nichols'
adaptation of
Patrick Marber's play Closer. Roberts would take the
place of Cate
Blanchett, who dropped out last week after she announced
she is expecting
her second child. The film is about the tangled relationship
between two
couples. Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Clive Owen are
also on board the
film.

25th February 2003: Closer Update:
Director Mike Nichols has been signed up by Columbia
Pictures to direct Closer. The movie is based on the
play by Patrick Marber. Thought to be starring are Jude
Law and Natalie Portman. The plot will centre on two
couples. When the guy from the first couple links up
with the girl from the other couple, the group dynamic
turns ugly.
