George," the original "monkey see, monkey do"
chimp, to the screen in an all-new animated adventure

city by The Man in the Yellow Hat, sets off in a brand

23rd September 2003: Curious George Update:
Universal Pictures and director Jun Falkenstein have hired Will
Ferrell to
voice The Man in the Yellow Hat in Curious George, which is
aiming for a
November 2005 release date. The film was originally announced
as a
computer-animated project, but has since switched back to traditional
animation. It's based upon the beloved tale of an inquisitive
little monkey
with an insatiable appetite for adventure.
Monday 11th November 2002: Curious George/ The Incredible
Shrinking Man Update:
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Imagine Entertainment and
Universal Pictures have hired two writing teams to rewrite a
couple of franchise properties, "Curious George" and
"The Incredible Shrinking Man." Dan Gerson and Robert
L. Baird, who were writers on the animated feature "Monsters,
Inc.," will rewrite "George," a CGI project based
on the children's book series of the same name that David Silverman
will direct for Grazer to produce. The writers are reuniting
with Silverman on the project, as the latter co-directed "Monsters."
Meanwhile, Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant will rewrite
"Shrinking," with Keenen Ivory Wayans attached to
direct and Eddie Murphy to star.
