Just received the following "Just a note to let you know I was married to
Ronald Dallas Woodroof really (Ronald Dixon Woodroof) in 1982 and I am NOT
HIV positive. The dates you have and the information you have is a lie. He
was bi-sexual along with many other things.
There is so much information that you do not have, I feel it would be in
everyone's best interest to contact me and perhaps his lover at the time
whom I am in contact with to this day. She is also NOT HIV positive. Ron
wished I was HIV positive when he contracted this disease in New Jersey. I
can explain in detail at a later date if you are interested.
He was simply out to make money with the Dallas Buyers Club before he
realized it could actually help people, then he could play doctor.

His family never left his side, I have pictures to prove we were there on
the night of his death. His sister and I are still in contact with each

Wednesday 4th December 2002: Dallas Buyers Club Update:
Universal Pictures have signed up writer Guillermo Arriaga to direct a movie to be called Dallas Buyers Club. The movie will be directed by Marc Foster and will tell the tale of Ron Woodroof, a redneck electrician who contracted HIV around 1980 and developed full-blown AIDS by 1986. Told to "go home and die," he instead went on to found one of the most risky and effective AIDS-related disease management efforts at the time. Woodroof tested illegal drugs on himself, prolonging his life six years and helping to treat and extend the lives of thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS. Producing Dallas Buyers Club is David Bushell, and the script is by Craig Borten and Melissa Wallack. No word on cast but Brad Pitt has been rumoured.
