Looks like the chances of Ben Affleck returning to the Daredevil character just got slimmer "I can't imagine doing another action movie. I'm not interested". He said that in a recent interview.

Director Guillermo del Toro has apparently rubbished recent claims that he would be directing Daredevil 2, now isn't that a surprise?

Rumours are circulating that Guillermo del Toro is considering talking the hotseat on Daredevil 2. Ben Affleck is thought to be wanting to return but only if the sequel is darker, should that not be only if it's better? The word has the script following the Frank Miller saga Born Again where Matt Murdock loses nearly everything and finds himself again.

Tuesday 9th December 2003: Daredevil 2 Update:
Ben Affleck has apparently ruled out appearing in a Daredevil sequel. The actor said recently: "I don't know about Daredevil 2. That may be too much work for me. I don't have any idea. I suppose that if Kevin Smith wrote it and was going to be involved, I would do it. But I'm not banging down the door trying to get Daredevil 2 made. You'll know when my career is really on the slide when I start resurrecting the franchise."

Director Mark Steven Johnson has been revealing some possible plots for Daredevil 2 "Born again (which sees DD rematched with Kingpin) would be an obvious choice. The other idea is to do Guardian Devil (Kevin "Clerks" Smith's run for Marvel, in which DD has his faith tested. Smith also cameos in Daredevil). I'd let Kevin write the screenplay, which I think would be a blast. I've talked to Kevin Smith about him writing the next script"

Michael Clarke Duncan has been asked if he has signed up for the Daredevil sequel and this is what he said " I signed a two picture deal with Fox for Daredevil."

Director Mark Steven Johnston's thoughts have started to move onto a possible sequel to Daredevil already. "I've been thinking about [the sequel]. Because the studio has been asking me about it too, Part of me would want to do 'Born Again', where the Kingpin comes back and gets his revenge and just takes Matt Murdock's life apart. But I don't think that would be enough, quite frankly. After Bullseye and Elektra and the Kingpin, you'd have to introduce who's next, who's the new person in the story...I think there is a version of a Mr. Fear that could be really cool for film, that could be really spooky and scary...The idea of the Man Without Fear who meets a man who can release the fear inside you - that's a great idea."
