Wednesday 3rd November 2004: Dark Matter update:
Myriad Pictures are to film the true story Dark Matter, it is the tale of a Chinese academic awarded special visa status to study in the U.S. Examining the origins of the universe, the student dreams of winning the Nobel Prize for his dark matter theory. But when his aspirations are thwarted by campus politics, tragedy follows. Greg Kinnear has joined the cast, starring opposite Meryl Streep and Chinese thesp Liu Ye. Streep will portray a wealthy university donor who befriends the student. Chen Shi-Zheng directs the script from Billy Shebar.

Thursday 24th June 2004: Dark Matter Update:
Meryl Streep and Liu Ye are set to star in Dark Matter for director Chen Shi-zheng. The film will follow the true story of a disgruntled physics student from China who shot and killed six people on the U. of Iowa campus in 1991. In the film, a Chinese science prodigy is studying the origins of the universe. He dreams of winning the Nobel Prize, but those aspirations are thwarted by campus politics. Streep will portray a wealthy university donor who befriends the student. Billy Shebar is behind the screenplay.
