Just received the following with more info on the problems
surrounding Deadly Course "Hi there, I was a crew member
on Deadly Course, We as a crew walked off the job due to the working
conditions that the Cult I mean the producers tried to make us
work in. After the unions came in at OUR request the producers
including Jon Voight offered us a bribe if we called off the unions.
Funny how Jon Voight who claims he was in no way involved in the
film was there offering us more money, and another funny thing
is we didn't want more
money, all we wanted was benifets and our days so we could get
into the
union. Jon Voight and the Production staff need to stop lying
and either
support the unions or learn what hollywood does to people who
try and cheat
the unions."

23rd June 2003: Deadly Course Update:
The production on Deadly Course has had to be shut down after
disagreement over working conditons between the SAG and its producers.
Rumours have Jon Voight being an executive producer on the movie
and also taking a role, he denies this. He had this to say "The
producer/director is a dear friend of mine, and I wanted to help
him out with the film. This is a dear friend of mine who was doing
a non-union movie, and the people who signed on knew it was a
non-union movie ... all down the line. It was a non-union movie
and the unions wanted it to be a union movie and they picketed
it. And it's been shut down ... with the pickets, with all the
stuff that went down."
