20th December 2004 The Devil's Rejects Update:
I guess all I can say here is if you've seen House of 1000
Corpses you'll know what to expect here, other than thatit's
your common or garden genre horror. Not my bag, but if it is
then I'm sure you'll love it. Quite a long wait for it though
as it's released on 12th August in the US. Why they don't just
hold it back till Halloween is anyone's guess.

Wydell hunting down the family from the first film with a band
of bounty hunters.

Monday
10th May 2004: The Devil's Rejects Update:
Rob Zombie has added Tyler Mane to the cast of his House 0f
1000 Corpses sequel The Devil's Rejects. Mane is best known
for playing Sabretooth in X-Men, and he replaces Robert Mukes
in the role of Rufus Firefly. Zombie explained why "We
tried to come to an agreement with Robert Mukes but couldn't.
We were told by his agent that he passed on the film. I along
with the original cast members were shocked. We are very excited
by the addition of Tyler Mane as Rufus to the cast of 'The Devil's
Rejects'."
Tuesday
2nd March 2004: The Devil's Rejects Update:
Rob Zombie's assistant has revealed that the title of his follow
up to House of 1000 Corpses is The Devil's Rejects. A script
is ready and the name comes from "the nickname the media
has bestowed upon our favorite band of murderers."
Monday 8th December 2003: House
of 2000 Corpses Update:
Brad at Bloody-Disgusting
has been in touch with the following update (or is that lack
of update?) on House of 2000 Corpses "
So much for an October start and an April release... again ::sigh::
Only one thing is confirmed right now, and that's the script
for The Devil's Rejects is complete. I received word from both
Sid Haig and Bill Moseley whom both told me the same disappointing
news - that they haven't heard much from Zombie as of late -
only that the script is in fact completed. Hopefully this won't
drag out again, but I can pretty much guarantee that an April
release is out of the question, unless of course some sort of
miracle happens."
Friday
24th October 2003: The Devil's Rejects Update:
Rob Zombie has revealed that he has finished the script for
The Devil's Rejects and plans to start filming after Christmas.
Friday
1st August 2003: The Devil's Rejects Update:
Rob Zombie has been talking about the development on The Devil's
Rejects " "[Making the movie] is totally different
this time. With Lions Gate
[Films], they came to the rescue. And they really believe in
the project.
It's more like the opposite [of making the last one]. This time
they are
wishing me to move faster, so it's kind of funny. I started
[writing] the
sequel before I knew that I had a deal, because I just kind
of function
that way. It's almost done. Most of the script is completed,
and if all
goes well, we should start shooting in the fall. The fan reaction
has been
amazing, and that's all you can hope for, really. Without getting
too
specific, what I want to do with the second one, I don't want
to re-create
the first one and just put a '2' on the end of it. [It takes
place] a week
later, and [it deals with] the repercussions of what happened
in the first
film. At this point I kind of know what everybody loves, and
that's all the
bad characters, obviously. So it's just them going off on other
things. But
it's going to be totally different than anyone expects. And
it will
probably be a lot more violent".
Tuesday
17th June 2003: The Devil's Rejects Update:
It
has been revealed that Rob Zombie is currently at work on the
screenplay
for the House of 1000 Corpses sequel. One of the stars of the
first movie
Bill Moseley has revealed that the plot will pick up from the
end of the
first one with about 20 cops visiting the house with a shootout
taking
place. Returning actors will include Moseley, Sig Haig, Sheri
Moon, Dennis
Fimple will not return as he recently passed away.

Thursday 8th May 2003: The Devil's Rejects Update:
Rob
Zombie is set to write and direct a sequel to his horror film
House of
1000 Corpses. The film is expected to start shooting in the
autumn for an
April release. House of 1000 Corpses follows two young couples
on a
misguided tour onto the backroads of America, in search of a
local legend
known as Dr Satan, who are set upon by a bizarre family of psychotics.
