Friday 3rd December 2004: The Dukes of Hazzard:
A pic of Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke can be seen over at Coming Soon. Set in present day, the story follows the adventures of "good old boy" cousins, Bo (Seann William Scott) and Luke (Johnny Knoxville) Duke, who with the help of their eye-catching cousin Daisy (Simpson) and moonshine running Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson), try and save the family farm from being destroyed by Hazzard County's corrupt commissioner Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds). Their efforts constantly find the "Duke Boys" eluding authorities in "The General Lee," their famed 1969 orange Dodge Charger that keeps them one step ahead of the dimwitted antics of the small southern town's Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (M.C. Gainey).

Shooting has started on the big screen adaptation of The Dukes of Hazzard starring Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott and Jessica Simpson. Filming is on location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Burt Reynolds and Willie Nelson will make appearances in the big screen version of TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. Reynolds will play corrupt politician Boss Hogg and Nelson will star as Uncle Jesse.

Tuesday 14th September 2004: The Dukes of Hazzard Update:
Jessica Simpson has been confirmed as Daisy Duke in the adaptation of the 70s show The Dukes of Hazzard. Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott are already in place as Luke and Bo with Broken Lizzard's Jay Chandrasekhar ready to direct the script from John O'Brien who already has experience in the genre having been a writer on the recent Starsky and Hutch smash.

Broken Lizard Jay Chandrasekhar, director of Super Troopers and Club Dread will direct the big screen adaptation of the TV series The Dukes of Hazard.

Now this just could be rumour, but if it's true, what a great story! Chris has been in touch to advise that Dolly Parton has been signed up to play Daisy Duke's mother in the Dukes of Hazzard movie!

Writer John O' Brien has been signed up by Warner Bros. to rewrite the script for Dukes of Hazzard. They are hoping to film the movie next year. Rumoured casting has Ashton Kutcher and Paul Walker as Bo and Luke, with Anthony Anderson rumoured for Boss Hogg.

Ashton Kutcher and Paul Walker are rumoured to be looking to star in the
big screen adaptation of Dukes of Hazzard. They are also looking at Anthony
Anderson to star as Boss Hog. The project is being developed by Warner
Bros. The other big rumour has Britney Spears as Daisy, please god let that
not be true!
