Eugene
Levy has been talking about his role as Principal Collins
in
forthcoming comedy prequel Dumb and Dumberer. "I love
dumb, OK?" he said at
a recent press event. "And a lot of characters that I
do, going back to
(legendary sketch comedy television show) SCTV, are for the
most part, not
the sharpest pencils in the drawer. So I do like that dumb
quality to
characters, and I think that the audience loves rooting for
the underdog
characters, the guys with the small brains and the big hearts.
This was more
of a cartoonish thing for me and it kind of took me back to
SCTV, in a way,
where the characters are just a little broader and you can
have that kind of
fun going a little over the edge. That's something I haven't
done in a
little while."

William Scott Lee has been talking about his role in the
upcoming Dumb and Dumber sequel "It's kind of a physical
comedy. I play a football player who's involved not necessarily
on purpose with the two lead characters. I come in and out
throughout the whole script. I get into all kinds of trouble
because I play a character who's in a concussion most of t
he time, so they can convince me to do anything."

28th January 2003: Dumb & Dumberer Update:
Theyre filming Dumb and Dumber 2 at my school, Atlanta International.
I got to stay after a basketball game one day waiting to be
picked up, and I got to hangout with the crew who were still
filming at like 11 p.m. The camera crew were nice. They gave
me hot cocoa and a banana. Ha. Anyway, last weekend the guy
from Not Another Teen Movie, and the guy from Even Stevens,
and the girl from The Gilmore Girls were all there filming.
If i can, i'll take pictures of our field to show you what
it looks like. the school in the movie is called "Providence
High" and it shows it on the side of the school. 'Thanks

Jan 12, 13 & possibly 14th - Shooting in Marietta, Georgia
in the "Town Square"...... watched the movie tapes
roll today as they had a truck with a camera and a school
bus followed by the "Dumb & Dumber" yellow gremlin
and several other "older" cars, all around the 70's
models. 'Thanks to Lisa'.

31st December 2002: Dumb & Dumberer Update:
As of today they are currently filming in my neighborhood
in Atlanta. It is the Martin Luther King national park/historic
neighborhood, they have been
filming here for the past week, some in the park across the
street from the elementary school and some at a house on Auburn
Ave. They put up bushes to cover the national park sign and
surrounded a the house with tall hedges. There is a dog on
the set (there was a doghouse on the from lawn), they would
not let me walk by with my dogs for fear of "disrupting"
the set. I
have not seen any cast members, just a ton of crew members
and cops re-routing traffic.... 'Thanks to Todd'.
and...
I'm a 16 year old boy who lives in Atlanta, and they're filming
a lot of the
movie at my school, The Atlanta International School. I've
been doing extra
roles all week. So far, Shia LaBeouf(Louis from "Even
Stevens") plays a
character who befriends Harry and Lloyd(he actually runs into
me in one scene of the film!). Also, William Lee Scott(Bullethead
from the "Steve Harvey Show") plays another one
of their friends and a football player for the
school's team, the Blue Stallions. Also, every website I've
been to has this
mixed up: Eric Christian Olsen is playing Lloyd, not Harry.
They dyed his
hair brown, so he looks different from how he did in "Not
Another Teen Movie" but he resembles Jim Carrey VERY
much. Most websites have him credited as playing Harry, which
I know for a fact is not true. However, this movie looks really
funny and the scenes have been really interesting(like raising
Harry and Lloyd up the flagpole!) That's all for now. 'Thanks

10th December 2002: Dumb and Dumber 2 Update:
Director Troy Miller has signed up Cheri Oteri to the cast
of Dumb and Dumber 2. She will play Ms. Heller, a high school
cafeteria worker who poses as a special ed teacher. The movie
has been written by Robert Brener and produced by Oren Koules.

and Dumber will be filming in Marietta, Georgia in the very

4th October 2002: Dumb and Dumber 2: When Harry Met Lloyd
Update:
Filming is due to start on November 16th in the sequel/prequel
to Dumb and Dumber. The movie is set backing 1986 when Harry
and Lloyd are still at school. The principal of the school
sets up a special needs class that our heroes are dumped in
and rebel against the principal.

On The Way
New Line Cinmea are planning a sequel to their hit film Dumb
& Dumber. The original starred Jim Carrey opposite Jeff
Danies and was written and directed by the Farrelly brothers
(There's Somthing About Mary). Dumb & Dumber, or Dumb
& Dumberer as it has been reffered to will in fact be
a prequel to the nineties hit. Neither Carrey, Daniels or
the Farrelly's will return. Instead Troy Miller will direct
a film based around the pair's high school years. The film
is being pencilled in for a summer 2003 release.
