Tuesday 28th January 2003: Elf Update:
Hi, I'm new to writing things in, but there has been a movie being shot in my area an d they say the movie is Elf. I have been by the place and have not seen any actors I recognize. So I just wanted to see who played in the film thanks to info on the web site. the movie is shooting at Riverview Hospital in BC Canada.

Monday 9th December 2002: Elf Update:
Dark Horizons scored a set report from the currently filming Jon Favreau directed Elf "I work next door to the Empire State Building (on W33rd st) and got to watch a pretty MASSIVE shoot from the window of the store for the movie "Elf". There was a chase type scene filmed nearby 33rd street featuring a double decker tourist bus, and the rest of the shoot involved people walking up and down the block w/ large Christmas type packages, they had a wind machine going at times as well. I also saw Will Ferrel dressed up in his Elf costume, yellow tights, green outfit, pointy hat - pretty amusing considering how big he is".

Friday 6th December 2002: Elf Update:
Jon Favreau has signed up Mary Steenburgen to the cast of Elf it has been announced. She will play James Caan's wife in the movie.

Tuesday 3rd December 2002: Elf Update:
Jon Favreau has added Zooey Deschanel, Bob Newhart and Ed Asner have all joined the cast of the movie he is directing called Elf for New Line Cinema. Will Ferrell stars in the movie as Buddy, a man raised from infancy by elves at the North Pole. After inadvertently yet continually wreaking havoc on the elf community, Buddy is sent to New York to be reunited with his biological father (James Caan). With the sincere intention of fitting in, Buddy proceeds to turn his father's life upside down.Deschanel will play a department-store elf who becomes Buddy's love interest, Newhart will play Buddy's adoptive elf father, and Asner will play Santa Claus.

21st May 2002: Elf Update:
Not a lot is known about this new comedy from New Line Cinema. except that Will Ferrell is to star in the lead after leaving Saturday Night Live a couple of weeks back.

Made helmer Jon Favreau will direct, and my guess is that this'll be released either this or most likely next Christmas.
