Picturehouse has picked up North American rights
to Bent Hamer's "Factotum," a dark
comedy starring Matt Dillon ("Crash"),
Lili Taylor ("The Haunting"), Fisher
Stevens, and Marisa Tomei. Based on Charles
Bukowski's semiautobiographical novel, "Factotum"
is the story of a writer who works in factories
to support his habits of drinking, gambling,
and consorting with women of questionable character.
Hamer and Jim Stark adapted the book. The film
will be released during the first quarter of
2006.

Marisa Tomei and Matt Dillon are to star in an adaptation of
Charles Bukowski's Factotum from writer/director Bent Hamer.
The drama centers on a jack-of-all-trades wandering around Los
