Writer/Director Frank Darabont has revealed once he has finished work on the Indiana Jones 4 script that he will get back to work on writing and directing an adaptation of Fahrenheit 451.

Originally intended to be Mel Gibson's directorial follow up to his Oscar winning Braveheart, Fahrenheit 451 is now to be helmed by The Green Mile director Frank Darabont. He will shoot the movie for Castle Rock Entertaiment after he finishes work on The Majestic with Jim Carrey.

Fahrenheit 451 is based on the best selling novel by Ray Bradbury and has already been adapted into a movie, all the way back in the sixties by French director Francois Truffaut and starring Oskar Werner and Julie Christie.

All we know at the moment is that the script has undergone no less that ten rewrites and that Castle Rock picked up the rights back in February after Mel Gibson's Icon passed. (CA).
