Aaron Carter, Dania Ramirez, Nick Zano, Derek Watkins
and Alice Greczyn have all been added to the cast of
the live-action version of Fat Albert.

12th April 2004: Fat Albert Update:
Keith Robinson will pop-up in the live-action Fat Albert
movie as Bill, the sensible and level-headed Cosby Kid.

26th March 2004: Fat Albert Update:
Kyla Pratt has been signed up for the lead female role
in Fat Albert. She will play the character that owns
the TV that the animated characters fall out of to turn
into real people.
Wednesday
10th March 2004: Fat Albert Update:
Director Joel Zwick has signed up Kenan Thompson to
the cast of Fat Albert. Producing are 20th Century Fox
with the movie following Fat Albert and his posse of
friends, who come to life when they walk out of the
cartoon and into the real world. The film will start
with animation, move into live-action and end in the
animated world. Also starring are Omarion of B2K fame
as Reggie, Raven-Symone (That's So Raven) in the animated
part of Danielle, Jermaine Williams (ER) as Mush Mouth,
Jeremy Suarez (Brother Bear) in the animated role of
Russell and Aaron Frazier as Weird Harold.
Thursday
29th January 2004: Fat Albert Update:
Kenan Thompson is set to star as Fat Albert in this
big screen adaptation of the TV series. Alongside him
will be former B2K frontman Omarion and Marques Houston.
The script is to be written by Bill Cosby and Charles
Kipps and directed by Joel Zwick. In the film, the characters
of Cosby's famous cartoon series find themselves in
human form when they tumble out of their television
show and end up in the real world. As Fat Albert tries
to help young Doris win some friends, he falls in love
with her sister Lauri—and everyone gets nervous
that not only will his famous problemsolving talent
fail him, but that he'll want to stay in the real world.

Director Joel Zwick is in talks with 20th Century Fox
to direct Fat Albert.The project has long been in development,
still no word over casting.
