12th January 2004: The Fat Slags Update:
Just received word that a test screening of The Fat Slags has
taken place last week. The comments I have received are very
negative, such as Geri Halliwell not being able to act. The
humour is very childish, with very few laugh out loud jokes.
That's all to be expected but a fair portion of the people attending
walked out of the preview halfway through. Not a good sign,
but I will temper that with the fact that the people who attended
the screening were all over 25. I really hope this isn't the
audience they are pitching the movie at, surely they will be
pitching this at the teenage audience, who will appreciate the
puerile, downright sick sense of humour of The Fat Slags?

Mr White has done it again. This time scooping The Fat Slags,
that stars Fiona Allen and Sophie Thompson dressed up in foam
rubber suits as Sharon and Tracey The Fat Slags from Viz, that
is currently shooting, just superb!

22nd August 2003: The Fat Slags Update:
Anon has been in touch with the following " The Fat Slags
filming was on location in Willesden, at an Irish Social Club,
for a scene in Fat Slags. 25 to 28 pub-goers looking on cheering/jeering
the action on stage, as various low-brow no hopers do their
cabaret routines. Our heroines are dressed in spandex-y lycra,
and follow the Ventriloquist on stage to do their own 'act'
which consists of waddling around the stage to disco music,
mugging at the pub goers, and performing a semi-striptease as
they get their prosthetic tits out for the lads. There will
be various locations all over London for the next 4 and a half
weeks. The two lead actresses are popular on-set, playing Sandra
and Tracey, I believe their characters names are. Haven't read
Viz in a while!! Their prosthetics take about 3 hours with make-up
to get into, and the actresses are real troupers because it
is warm enough here in London right now, but not as hot as recent
weeks. Must be very hot and arduous in those costumes."

This
interesting tidbit for The Fat Slags just in "Unfortunately
I don't know his full name, only that he is from Los Angeles,
he is called Gerry, I met him on a plane to the UK, and he plays
an american media mogul who meets the fat slags and falls in
love with them both! Apart from that, I don't know very much.
Sorry! Other than he is filming in London for the next 2 months."

5th August 2003: The Fat Slags Update:
The Fat Slags look like they could be making their
big screen debut after
all. The Viz comic characters looked set to make their movie
bow years ago,
before the project was shelved. Now it’s all back on again,
with Ed Bye on
board to direct and Fiona Allen and Sophie Thompson lined up
to play the two
leads. Geri Halliwell has also signed on for a minor supporting
role.
