Wednesday 30th July 2003: Finding Nemo Update:
Finding Nemo has become the highest-grossing cartoon in film history, taking
over the mantle from The Lion King. "We're just thrilled," Disney's chairman
Dick Cook said. "It's going to be the biggest animated movie of all time,
not only domestically but around the world." And yet again it hasn't even been released in the UK yet!

Monday 2nd June 2003: Finding Nemo Update:
Finding Nemo has reeled in a U.S. box office record for an animated movie.
The underwater adventure netted $70.6m (£43.4m) during its first three days
of release, beating the animation record of $62.5m set by Monsters Inc in
2001. The figure marks the sixth best debut for a film in May and the eighth
best opening for a film in history.

Wednesday 28th May 2003: Finding Nemo Update:
Anyone going to see Pixar’s latest movie Finding Nemo should keep their eyes
peeled for the studio’s penchant for quirky cameos. "We have two rules in
our movies," explained Andrew Stanton, who wrote and directed Finding Nemo.
"Get the Pizza Planet truck (from Toy Story) in there somewhere and always
have John Ratzenberger be a voice." The battered yellow pickup with a white
camper shell and a light-up plastic rocket ship, advertising the fictional
Pizza Planet franchise, has become Pixar's most recurring image, popping up,
Hitchcock-like, in every picture the studio has made. The truck gets its
most fleeting cameo ever in the new film, whizzing past a dentist's office
where a major part of the film is set, while Ratzenberger gives voice to an
entire school of fish. You might also want to look out for Mike from
Monsters Inc, who snorkels across the screen at one point, and Buzz
Lightyear also turns up. Look out too for characters from two upcoming Pixar
films, The Incredibles and Cars.

Tuesday 29th October 2002: Finding Nemo Update:
Pixar Animation Studios have their eye on re-releasing their 1989 short film Knick Knack alongside next year's Finding Nemo. Knick Knack centers around a grumpy snowman. "One of our goals is to have a short film before every Pixar animated feature," said John Lasseter, Knick Knack's director. "We kind of alternate between (making) new short films and pulling ones out of the vault that people haven't seen too much. For 'Finding Nemo,' we're talking about putting 'Knick Knack' on the front because a lot of people haven't seen it."

Tuesday 15th October 2002: Finding Nemo Update:
Finding Nemo has apparently been screened for employees at Pixar and the general reaction has been that it is their weakest movie yet. It's early days for that as the movie doesn't get released until next year so lots of time to fix things.

Saturday 12th October 2002: Finding Nemo Update:
Finding Nemo, Pixar's next movie has had its release date tied down as 30th May 2003.

Finding Nemo will be Pixar's fifth feature length CGI movie, once again released by Disney.

I have very little information on this project as Disney are keeping it firmly under wraps, hey we still don't know who'll be providing the voices for the movie. Although names that have come up are Pixar favourite John Ratzenberger and Ellen DeGeneres who may play the female fish role in the film.

This should be fairly good as director/ screenwriter Andrew Stanton co-wrote A Bugs Life, Monsters Inc, Toy Story and Toy Story 2, a film that in my opinion betters the original.
