Just received the following update on Game of Their Lives "
Jay Rodan will play Frank "Pee Wee" Wallace; Zachery
Ty Bryan will play
Harry Keough; Louis Mandylor will play Gino Pariani and Jimmy
Jean-Louis
will play Joe Gatjeans, a Haitian who scored the winning goal.
The movie is now being shot in south St. Louis near the neighborhood
where
five of the players grew up. I'll be updating this site

received the following information on The Game of Their Lives
"Gavin Rossdale will play Stanley Mortensen in this film.
Its a small part and he told fans on the official Bush webpage
that he will be shooting it in Louisiana and Rio de Janeiro

Thursday 13th March 2003: The Game of Their Lives Update:
Crusader Entertainment has lined up Gerard Butler and Wes
Bentley to topline
the soccer drama The Game of Their Lives. Based on the book
by Geoffrey
Douglas, it tells the story of the U.S. team that stunned the
powerhouse
English side in the 1950 World Cup by a 1-0 score. The Americans,
listed as
a 500-to-1 shot by one bookmaker, were a quickly assembled band
of amateur
and semi-pro players, mostly first-generation Americans and
immigrants.
Bentley will portray Walter Bahr, who devised the strategy to
defeat the
Brits, and Butler will play Frank Borghi, the goalie who led
the team both
on and off the field. David Anspaugh will direct.
