Just received the following info on The Gathering "I got to be an extra in The Gathering when they filmed in my village in the Cotswolds. My house was also used as the police station and the primary school in my village was used as well. It was fantastic to have Christina Ricci and Ioan Gruffud walking around. " Thanks to Charlotte!

The Gathering stars Christina Ricci as a backpacker in deepest West Country England with a plot that centres on the discovery of a first century church that has a rather strange mural.....

Best way to describe the tone of The Gathering comes from the producer Marc Samuelson "I've always wanted to maek a supernatural thriller set in rural Britain because so many of the most horrific examples in the genre have come from Britain - The Wicker Man, The Omen". Let's hope The Gathering is in the vein of those two movies, it's about time we had a downright scary and intelligent scary movie.

Directing The Gathering is Brian Gilbert, who previously directed period piece Wilde.
