Monday 5th December 2005: Movie News: Get Smart: Item Posted by: Gary Gray: Peter Segal has been signed up by Warner Bros. to direct Get Smart. Steve Carrell will star, with the script by Tom Astle and Matt Ember. The movie is based on the 70's tv show that followed gormless secrent agent Maxwell Smart, a spy for CONTROL, fighting the evil forces of KAOS. The big screen version will move the setting to today with CONTROL falling on hard times and not getting the big government funding other spy agencies, like the CIA, do.

News Item Posted by: Loretta Francis Steve Carell ("Bruce Almighty") has stated that a remake of the popular '60s TV show "Get Smart" is in development. It will be set in the modern day, and the basic premise is that both CONTROL and KAOS have fallen on hard times and are not being funded by the government. They're not getting the same kind of funding as the CIA. They have one last mission to prove their worth.

Tuesday 3rd August 2004: Get Smart Update:
Anchorman's Steve Carell is set to play bumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart in the Warner Bros adaptation of the sit-com Get Smart. Bruce Almighty scribe Steve Koren is to write the script. The secret-agent comedy, created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, pitted Agents 86 and 99 against the evil forces of KAOS.

Thursday 31st July 2003: Get Smart Update:
Warner Bros. have signed up Will Ferrell for Get Smart. The movie is being
produced by Andrew Lazar. The movie is an adaptation of the TV series that
starred Don Adams as bumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart.
