Monday 21st April 2003: Untitled Method Man/Redman Movie Update:
Just received word that Ghetto Inc. is no longer the title of the Method Man and Redman project being developed at New Line Cinema. The project does not currently have a title. The movies premise has been described as a "a hip-hop version of the blockbuster Broadway musical 'The Producers,' with the duo as aspiring record-label execs who promise their investors more than they can deliver" The script for the movie is being written by Jeff Dyson and Bennie Richburg based on the script by Sheck Bugge. Producing are Davis Entertainment with Shauna Garr and James Ellis. Davis Entertainment vp Lil Phillips will oversee with New Line production execs Richard Brener and Matt Moore.Dyson and Richburg, who are repped by UTA and manager Allen Fischer at Fischer Management, penned "Niagara Fools," which is set up at the Walt Disney Co. with Bernie Mac attached to star.

Method Man and Redman are currently in talks with New Line Cinema and Davis Entertainment to star in Ghetto Inc. Ghetto Inc. has been written by Sheck Bugge and will be produced by Method Man and Redman with Shauna Garr. The movie will tell the tale of three friends who set up a rap label to exscape from the 'hood.
