14th December 2004 Happy Endings Update:
If I was to say to you that Happy Endings starred Tom Arnold
and Lisa Kudrow I'd reckon you might stop reading this and go
and look at something less direct to video hell instead. But
wait, Happy Endings is directed by Don Roos who directed the
superlative The Opposit opf Sex and the much underrated Bounce
and also stars the fantastic Maggie Gyllenhaal and Steve Coogan.
Also the movie is being shown for the first time at Sundance
the natural home of intelligent indie fare and I for one am
looking forward to this as a possible sleeper hit.

Laura Dern, Tom Arnold, Jason Ritter, David Sutcliffe and Johnny
Galecki have been added to the cast of Happy Endings that starts
filming next week.

Maggie Gyllenhaal will replace Jennifer Garner in Happys Endings
for Lions Gate Films. Steve Coogan and Bobby Cannavale have
also been added to the cast.

Julius has just sent in the following "Jesse Bradford
has been cast in the independent comedy Happy Endings. He'll
be in the 3rd story as as blackmailing filmmaker."

Monday 5th May 2003: Happy Endings Update:
Alias
star Jennifer Garner is to replace Gwyneth Paltrow in new indie
film
Happy Endings. It is thought that Paltrow dropped out of the
project
following the loss of her father Bruce Paltrow, who died in
October. Lisa
Kudrow will still star in the movie, written and directed by
Don Roos.
Production is set to begin in the summer in Los Angeles.

Monday 7th April 2003: Happy Endings Update:
Ray
Liotta has joined Gwyneth Paltrow and Lisa Kudrow in indie feature
Happy
Endings for writer-director Don Roos. Production is slated to
begin as early
as May 12 in Los Angeles. Described as a contemporary comedy,
its set in
Los Angeles and involves three intertwining stories with 10
characters. The
first story is about a father (Liotta) and son involved with
the same woman
(Paltrow). The second revolves around two couples, in which
one of the men
may have fathered the other couple's child. The third is about
a woman
(Kudrow) who gave up a baby for adoption 19 years ago and meets
a
blackmailing documentary filmmaker who might know where the
child is.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend, a masseur, may be giving out "happy
endings" at
the massage parlor.

Thursday 20th March 2003: Happy Endings Update:
Writer/Director Don Roos looks to have signed up Lisa Kudrow
and Gwyneth Paltrow for a project called Happy Endings. The
movie will follow several disparate lives which intersect when
Mamie Toll (who gave up her baby for adoption 19 years ago)
is given the opportunity to find out exactly what happened to
the little boy.Kudrow plays Mamie, who is approached by a young
filmmaker who won't divulge the name or whereabouts of her son
unless he can make a movie about her quest to find the child.
Filming is thought to be starting in LA in May.
