Wednesday 12th March 2003: Harvey Update: John Travolta is in talks to star in Harvey, the
new screen version of Mary
Chase's Pulitzer Prize winning play that was the basis
for the 1950 Jimmy
Stewart film. The remake is a co-production between
Dimension Films and MGM with a script from Craig Mazin.
Even though no director is attached, the
studios have begun talks with Travolta to play the role
of Elwood P. Dowd,
an amiable drunk who pals around with a six-foot-tall
invisible rabbit named
Harvey.
