Synopsis: Set
in the nightspots, theaters, rooftops, and streets of
Manhattan over one night, Heights is a contemporary story

Sony Pictures Classics have picked up the US distribution rights
to Heights that has been produced by Merchant Ivory Prods. The
movie has been directed by Chris Terrio with the script by Amy
Fox. The movie stars Elizabeth Banks, Glenn Close, James Marsden,
Jesse Bradford, Matt Davis and John Light.

Matt Davis has been added to the cast of this Merchant Ivory
production being directed by Chris Terrio.

23rd July 2003: Heights Update: Seabiscuit
star Elizabeth Banks is to star in the Merchant Ivory production
Heights. James Marsden is also negotiating for a role in the
project, with
Glenn Close being eyed for another part. The film is scheduled
to begin
filming in September in New York, with first-time feature director
Chris
Terrio at the helm. The movie is described as being a quintessential
New
York story with Banks in the female lead role as a photojournalist
who is
forced to come to terms with a complicated relationship in her
life. Close
is being targeted to play the mother of Banks' character, with
Marsden
taking the role of her fiancé
