Fox are sending out the reels for the Robert De Niro horror film to cinemas but without the final reel to protect the ending. The final reels will be numbered and hand delivered. See the complete picture on Friday, January 28th.

Monday 3rd January 2005: Hide and Seek:
Fox have opened the official site for the Robert De Niro horror Hide and Seek here. In the John Polson-directed film, opening January 28th, Robert De Niro plays a widowed father who desperately tries to break through to his nine year old daughter (Dakota Fanning) when she creates a creepy, maniacal imaginary friend with a terrifying vendetta.

What's really amazing about Hide and Seek is that people will probably be wanting to go see this to see Dakota Fanning and not living legend Robert De Niro. And can you ever really imagined thinking that? But after her amazing performance in Man on Fire she surely is one of the hot talents in Hollwyood right now, guess that's why she's already filmed Nine Lives, about to film War of the Worlds and Dreamer, and has Conquistador in pre-production, all at the tiny age of 10! Hide and Seek gets released in the US on 28th January 2005.

Amy Irving has been signed up to play the suicidal wife of Robert De Niro's character in Hide and Seek.

Wednesday 28th January 2004: Hide and Seek Update:
Filming has started in New York on Hide and Seek that stars Robert De Niro, Dakota Fanning, Famke Janssen and Elisabeth Shue. Filming was delayed after De Niro had suffered health problems. The movie is being directed by John Polson, written by Ari Schlossberg and produced by Barry Josephson.

Ian has written in to advise that Robert De Niro will start filming on Hide and Seek in March 2004.

Filming on Hide and Seek, starring Robert De Niro, has been put back to
January following the recent announcement that the actor has been diagnosed
with prostate cancer. The thriller, directed by John Polson, centres on a
young girl who loses her mother at an early age. Her father soon discovers
that she's coping with the death in an unusual and ultimately terrifying
way.

Famke Janssen is to star opposite Robert DeNiro and Dakota Fanning in Hide
and Seek, which is currently filming in New York under the direction of John
Polson.

Director John Polson is in talks to come aboard Hide and Seek, replacing Albert Hughes in the helmer's chair of the Robert De Niro-starrer. Filming will start in New York next month. The story centres on a young girl who loses her mother at an early age. Her father soon discovers that she's coping with the death of his spouse and her mother in an unusual and ultimately terrifying way.

Thursday 28th August 2003: Hide and Seek Update:
Albert Hughes has walked away from 20th Century Fox's Hide and Seek. The
director had spent three weeks preparing for the Robert De Niro film but
left because of "creative differences". De Niro is still attached to the
story, which centres on a young girl who loses her mother at an early age.
Her father discovers that she's coping with the death of his spouse and her
mother in an unusual and ultimately terrifying way.

Robert De Niro may star in 20th Century Fox's thriller Hide & Seek, to be
directed by Albert Hughes. The film tells the story of a girl who loses her
mother at a young age. Her father (De Niro) comes to discover that his
daughter is dealing with the death of her mother in an unusual and
terrifying way.

Tuesday 6th May 2003: Hide and Seek Update:
Albert Hughes (From Hell) is in advanced talks to helm the thriller Hide and
Seek, a project which would represent his first outing as a solo director.
The story centres on a young girl who loses her mother at an early age. Her
father discovers that she's coping with the death of his spouse and her
mother in an unusual and ultimately terrifying way.
