Monday 1st December 2003: Inside I'm Dancing Update:
It has been revealed that principal photography on Inside I'm Dancing has started in Ireland . The movie stars Romola Garai, Brenda Fricker and James McAvoy. Newcomer Steven Robertson also stars. The movie is being produced by James Flynn and Juanita Wilson. Executive producing are Morgan O'Sullivan and Working Title's Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Natascha Wharton. The script has been written by Jeffrey Caine (Goldeneye) and based on a story by Christian O'Reilly. The movie follows Michael (Steven Robertson), a twenty four year old who has cerebral palsy and long-term resident of the Carrigmore Residential Home for the Disabled, run by the formidable Eileen (Brenda Fricker). His life is transformed when the maverick Rory O'Shea (James McAvoy) moves in. Michael is stunned to discover that fast talking Rory, who can move only his right hand, can understand his almost unintelligible speech. Rory's dynamic and rebellious nature soon sparks a flame in Michael, introducing him to a whole new world outside of Carrigmore.

Together the two men outwit the system and set themselves up in a flat employing the beautiful Siobhan (Romola Garai) as their personal assistant, to cook, clean and take care of their needs. She soon becomes integral to the boys efforts at successful independent living and begins to realise that this responsibility brings as many complications as it does rewards.

Inside I'm Dancing is the story of what happens when two frustrated, ambitious and romantic young men, determined to live life to the full, reach out and grasp their opportunity. The movie will be distributed by Universal Pictures.

George has been in touch to advise that Ruth Mcabe has joined the cast of Inside I'm Dancing, filming started on the movie the 22nd October and will continue until the middle of December.
