Here's some new pics for The Interpreter that stars Nicole
Kidman and Sean Penn. Can't say I was that impressed by the
trailer, but I was impressed by Nicole's accent as it was just
spot on South African. US release on 22nd April.

Maz Jobrani and Tsai Chin have joined the cast of The Interpreter;
Jobrani will play a Secret Service agent in the United Nations-set
thriller, while Chin will play the organization's head interpreter.

28th January 2004: The Interpreter Update:
It has been revealed that director Sydney Pollack's movie The
Interpreter will film some scenes at the U.N. in New York. The
movie will star Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. Kidman will play
a Kenyan-born U.N. interpreter who overhears an assassination
plot, becomes a target herself and helps stop the killing of
an African leader addressing the U.N. General Assembly.
Friday
16th January 2004: The Interpreter Update:
Director Sydney Pollack's "THE INTERPRETER", starring
Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn is now scheduled to shoot in Toronto
as well as New York. Kidman plays a UN interpreter who overhears
plans of an assassination attempt and must convince Penn's FBI
agent to take action. The Universal film is produced by Tim
Bevan, Eric Fellner, Pollack, Kevin Misher, Anthony Minghella
and Liza Chasin.

The Interpreter Update:
Sean Penn joins Nicole Kidman on The Interpreter, a Sydney Pollack-directed
political thriller for Working Title and Universal. Filming
begins in New York early next year. The script was written by
Charles Randolph.

Working Title are thought to be in talks with Nicole Kidman
to star in The
Interpreter.

She
hasn't time to star in Manderlay or Brothers Grimm but apparently
she
is going to make time to fit in Director Sydney Pollack's next
movie The
Interpreter. The movie is being produced by Working Title at
Paramount. She
would play a U.N. interpreter who overhears an assassination
plot and
becomes a target. She and a federal agent try to stop the murder
of an
African leader.
Tuesday 15th April 2003: The Interpreter Update:
Sydney
Pollack is in talks to direct thriller The Interpreter. A late
autumn
or early winter start is expected. Written by Charles Randolph,
the film is
described as No Way Out set in the United Nations.
