12th November 2003: Jamie's Kitchen Update:
A film based on Jamie Oliver's reality TV series Jamie's
Kitchen is in the works. British producer Michael Kuhn
has agreed with the chef to develop a film from the
Channel 4 documentary. Jamie's Kitchen followed Oliver
as he tried to launch a restaurant in East London with
a kitchen staffed entirely by unemployed youngsters
who had never cooked before. Oliver came close to financial
disaster before the restaurant, Fifteen, opened to rave
reviews and became one of London's hottest eateries.
The film version would switch the action from London
to New York with Oliver's character being changed to
an upstart kid from New Jersey.
