Reportedly, Warner Brothers is casting for the feature film adaptation of "The Jetsons." It is rumored Steve Martin is the first choice to play the role of George Jetson. The film will incorporate CGI. A late 2006 release is probable.

Following Catwoman producer Denise Di Novi could be moving
onto the live action film of American cartoon sit-com The
Jetsons. Screenwriter Sam Harper, who has experiance in comedy
having penned Cheaper By the Dozen and Just Married, has completed
a draft and director Adam Shankman is set to direct for Warner
Bros.
Wednesday 19th March 2003: The Jetsons Update:
Director Adam Shankman looks to have been signed up by
Warner Bros. to direct the big screen version of The Jetsons.
The movie is being produced by Denise DiNovi and Hanna Barbera
Productions.
