Warner Bros. Pictures has hired the writing team of Matthew Berry and Eric
Abrams to pen the live action feature adaptation of Cartoon Network's Johnny
Bravo, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson attached to star. The film will have
Bravo looking for his long-lost father in a coming-of-age action comedy.

Saturday 19th October 2002: Johnny Bravo Update:
Warner Bros. have bought the rights to make a movie out of cult cartoon favourite Johnny Bravo. And they are thought to be wanting The Rock to star as Johnny Bravo himself. Producer Marty Adelstein had this to say about it "When the Rock mentioned to Neal (Moritz) and myself he was a big fan of 'Johnny Bravo' and thought it was a great idea for a movie, we thought it was a natural fit and potentially a great role for him to play, so we went aggressively after the property." The movie is being produced by Adelstein and Neal Moritz.
