Ashanti has joined the cast of the comedy "John Tucker Must Die." Jesse Metcalfe ("Desperate Housewives") is playing John Tucker. Betty Thomas ("Dr. Doolittle") directs the film that starts shooting in Vancouver this summer.

Sophia Bush ("One Tree Hill") and Brittany Snow ("The Pacifier") are in final talks to star in 20th Century Fox's "John Tucker Must Die." The film centers on three girls from different social groups who band together to seek revenge on the school's hunk who has broken their hearts. They set him up with the new girl in town, just so she can dump him and break his heart. Snow will play the new girl, and Bush will play one of the trio of girls. Jesse Metcalfe ("Desperate Housewives") has been cast as the title character.

Jesse Metcalfe ("Desperate Housewives") will make his feature film debut in the title role of 20th Century Fox's "John Tucker" (aka "John Tucker Must Die"). Metcalfe will play a heartthrob whose serial cheating leads three ex-girlfriends to seek revenge by setting him up to fall for the new girl in town, just so that she can dump him and break his heart.
