Update:
Filming is taking place in Luton, England on the
new Cole Porter movie that stars Kevin Kline and Ashley
Judd. Today they have been filming the wedding of Cole
Porter and when you have a wedding, you need s asinger
don't you? Well who better than a certain Mr Robbie

Wednesday 11th June 2003: Just One of Those Things
Update:
Just received the following update on Just One of
the Those Things "Just returned from Luton Hoo
(Tues) where Robbie was indeed on the set of
'Just One of those Things' (ghastly title which I hope
they change!)
The scene was the wedding of Cole Porter and Linda Lee,
with Robbie as the
crooner singing 'It's De-Lovely'. The fact that 'De-Lovely'
was actually
written about 10 years after their marriage seems to
have escaped unnoticed! The sequence is actually quite
short but close ups were done this morning
(Tues) and of course the song is pre-recorded. Poor
Robbie wasn't used to
the attention being on Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd as
the Porters and our
backs were mostly turned towards him, but he was very
gracious about it and
happy to chat to us 'mere' extras and children on the
set! Did you know Elvis Costello and fiance, Diana Krall
have recently been
signed up (Telegraph 31/5/03) to sing 'Let's Misbehave'
and 'I Get a Kick
Out of You' respectively?" Thanks to Anon!
Tuesday 3rd June 2003: Just One of those Things Update:
Just received word that Diana Krall will be filming
some scenes for Just One of Those Things (prev. title
De-Lovely) on the 26th and 27th June.
Tuesday 22nd April 2003: Just One Of Those Things Update:
Just received word that De-Lovely has had a title
change to Just One Of Those Things and will start filming
on 5th May for 12 weeks. Thanks to Hosiery!
Tuesday 15th April 2003: De-Lovely Update:
Just received the following snippet which lets us
know that casting is currently taking place on De-Lovely
"I have just been for a casting session for the
above film about Cole Porter but little information
was available." Thanks to James!

5th March 2003: De-Lovely Update:
Ashley
Judd is in talks to join Kevin Kline in De-Lovely, the
Cole Porter
biopic being directed by Irwin Winkler for United Artists.
Judd is in line
for the role of socialite Linda Lee Porter. She married
Porter even though
he was gay and was a source of inspiration for musical
compositions
including Anything Goes and Kiss Me Kate. The film stats
shooting in London in May.
Monday
3rd February 2003: De-Lovely Update:
Director Irwin Winkler has signed up Kevin Kline
to star in a movie to be called De-Lovely. The script
has been written by Jay Cocks. The movie is being produced
by United Artists and will tell the story of famous
compose and songwriter Cole Porter. The movie will feature
30 snippets from Cole Porter tunes.
