Production company and distributor Maxmedia has optioned the upcoming video game Kameo: Elements of Power from Microsoft with an eye toward turning it into an animated feature, says Variety. Maxmedia partner Sunmin Park, who co-wrote and directed the digital toon version of Korean film Sky Blue, will adapt and helmhelm "Kameo." She and Jungmin Ethan Park are producing. Debuting in December for Microsoft's next-generation console Xbox 360, "Kameo" is a fantasy adventure game about a young elf who transforms into mystical warriors to defend her people from an evil troll king. Microsoft is publishing the game, which was developed by Rare, maker of the popular "Goldeneye" titles. Maxmedia is aiming to start production next year.
