Kinsey Synopsis:
Academy Award-winner Bill Condon ("Gods and Monsters," "Chicago") explores the life of the pioneer of human sexuality research, Alfred Kinsey (Neeson). Spanning six decades from his childhood in the early 1900s to his death in 1956, the film turns the microscope on the man whose landmark studies on the sexual behaviors of the common man rocked a nation. The interviewer of tens of thousands, Kinsey subjected his own life and that of his researchers to the same type of analysis that produced his 1948 best-selling book "Sexual Behavior in the Human Male." But while the Kinsey team's focus was predominantly outward, perhaps what they learned about themselves was as great as that which they taught their country.

Wednesday 20th October 2004 Kinsey Update:
No doubt when Kinsey comes out all the usual sex gags will be ran out, but they really should have nothing to do with Director Bill Condon's biopic of the life of Alfred Kinsey who pioneered research into human sexuality in a non voyeuristic scientific manner. Fox Searchlight release the Liam Neeson starring movie is the US on 12th November and is released in the UK on 25th March 2005.

Thursday 6th November 2003: Kinsey Update:
Liam Neeson and Laura Linney have been talking about the sexually explicit
biopic Kinsey. The Bill Condon-directed project sees Neeson play sex
researcher Alfred Kinsey and Linney his wife Clara. "It's going to be quite
controversial because he was quite a controversial man," said Neeson. "He
was a sex researcher, so we leave no stone unturned in his life and times."
Linney added that the film "will be shocking in the best possible way. Let
me just say that this movie deals with sex in a very honest way and in a way
you don't see in most movies."

Thursday 15th June 2003: Kinsey Update:
Liam Neeson has been reported as visiting the Indiana University Kinsey Institute as preparation for his role in Kinsey to view its sex research collections and get acquainted with the Bloomington area, including the house in which Kinsey lived.
IU's Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction is not involved with the film, but it made its collections available as it does for other researchers, said Nancy Lethem, director of development.Kinsey, an IU biology professor, collected histories of people's sex lives and published his findings in two groundbreaking and controversial books in 1947 and 1953."Kinsey was an incredibly complex character, a scientist who spent 20 years as a biologist and had one brilliant but simple idea which is still radical today: that no one person's sexuality is the same as another's, and that we are all tortured by what is sexually normal," Condon told Variety magazine last fall.
