George Romero has added 4 more to his cast: Simon Baker, John
Leguizamo, Asia Argento, and Robert Joy. They join Dennis Hopper
in Romero's return to the zombie genre he is famous for. -Hollywood

2004: The Land of the Dead Update:
Tom Savini is in talks for George A Romero's The Land of the
Dead and would play one of the leaders of a salvage team that
goes out to search for supplies and/or survivors. Asia Argento
is also in talks for a role in the zombie horror.

2004: Land of the Dead Update:
Easy Rider Dennis Hopper is to star in writer/director George
A. Romero's fourth zombie flick Land of the Dead. In the film,
the zombies having taken over the world and those left alive
are confined to a walled-in city that keeps out the corpse corps.
Anarchy rules the streets, with the wealthy insulated and living
in fortified skyscrapers. The drama revolves around a
group of scavengers who must thwart an attempt to overthrow
the city while the dead are evolving from brainless slow-moving
creatures into more advanced creatures. Universal Pictures are
likely to distribute.
