Columbia are set to pick up the book Last One In by journalist Nicholas Kulish based on his experience as an embedded reporter for the Wall Street Journal with one of the Marine Expeditionary Forces helicopter squadrons. The fictional tale is the story of a mediocre male gossip columnist who is mistakenly sent to Iraq to cover the war as an embedded reporter. At first he tries to get himself sent home, but after he bonds with the soldiers and shares their experiences, he emerges as a heroic war correspondent. Michael De Luca is to produce with Stephen J. Rivele and Christopher Wilkinson onboard to write.
