Tuesday 15th February 2005: Magic Kingdom:
Universal has bought the rights to fantasy author Terry Brooks' book series "Magic Kingdom." The series tells the story of a widowed attorney who leaves his old life behind when he responds to a mysterious ad and spends his fortune to buy a magical kingdom. He and his two children get more than they expected when they discover the kingdom on the brink of chaos. Stephen Sommers (The Mummy) will direct, and Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel will adapt the screenplay.
