Here you go, this is one for all the kids of the seventies such as me who grew up loving The Magic Roundabout! Pathe release the big screen adaptation in the Uk on 11th February. I'm sure there'll be loads of parents dragging their kids along to see it on the pretence it's a kiddie movie. It does look like the subliminal drugtaking symbolism looks to have been removed though... Also the movie has been retitled for the US as Sprung!

Bill Nighy has been added to the cast of The Magic Roundabout to play Dylan. Superb casting as Nighy's voice will be perfect to play the spaced out guitar playing rabbit!

Friday 17th October 2003: Magic Roundabout Update:
Ray Winstone has been added to the cast of The Magic Roundabout as part of the vocal cast alongside Tom Baker, Jim Broadbent, Richard O' Brien, Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams. The movie is being directed by Frank Passingham and written by Paul Bassett. Producing are Francois Ivernet, Cameron McCracken, Andy Leighton and Laurent Rodon.

Friday 4th October 2002: The Magic Roundabout Update:
Pathe are going to make an adaptation of kids TV show. The Magic Roundabout. The Magic Roundabout was one of the seminal 70's kids TV shows and was often rumoured to be drugs based, with Dougal and Zebedee very much looking and acting a wee bit stoned/on speed. The movie is CG and will take eighteen months to develop with a release date round about Autumn 2004.
