Steven Conrad has been hired to adapt J. Robert Lennon's "Mailman: A Novel" for Paramount Pictures. "Mailman" centers on Albert Lippincott, a letter carrier extraordinaire who is aggressively cheerful and obsessively efficient; he has a habit of reading other people's mail. When one of his customers ends up dead, and Lippincott is holding the letter that might have saved his life, he sets out on a cross-country journey to reconcile with his own family and make meaning out of his life.

Producer Robert Evans via Paramount has picked up the film rights to the novel by Robert lennon called Mailman. The book centres on neurotic mailman Albert Lippincott, whose quest for love and professional fulfillment causes him to descend from mild eccentricity into madness during three decades on the job.
